Senior Technical Manager
Senior Technical Manager - Food Manufacturing - North Lincolnshire - £70,000 – £75,000
Low staff turnover. Less than 1%. People stay here. On average, for 7 years. That tells you everything about the culture, leadership, and how the site is run. Now, due to retirements, there's a rare opening. This isn't a “steady the ship” role – it's a chance to shape what comes next. Reporting into the Site Director, with group visibility, leading a team of 20+ across technical. Roughly 70% customer-facing, 30% factory-facing. They need someone who knows what “great” looks like and isn't afraid to raise the bar.
You'll be:
- Driving food safety culture forward (not just maintaining it)
- Improving standards across the factory
- Building stronger, more credible relationships with major retailers
- Bringing best practice back from head office and making it stick on site
What they're looking for
You've done this before. Site Technical Manager or Head of Technical level. Worked with big retailers – M&S, Tesco, etc. Ideally from a high-care environment. You're credible, down to earth, can challenge without alienating, and know how to bring a team with you.
