What you'll be doing
As a translator with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], you will provide accurate, culturally appropriate written translations for a wide range of organisations, with a strong focus on the Health and Social Care sectors. Your work may include documents for the NHS, local authorities, charities, and private sector clients, helping individuals access vital services and information. You will play an essential role in removing language barriers and ensuring equal access to services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Translating written content accurately and fluently from the source language into your native language
- Preserving the original tone, intent, and meaning while ensuring cultural and contextual relevance
- Collaborating with project managers to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work
- Following industry standards, confidentiality requirements, and best practices at all times
What We’re Looking For
- A minimum of 5 years of professional translation experience or a relevant translation degree from a recognized institution
- Proven experience translating medical and/or legal content
- Proficiency with CAT tools and translation management systems
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail and consistency
- Native-level fluency in the target language
- Based in the UK or EU
- An Enhanced DBS certificate (or European equivalent), or willingness to obtain one
