Salary: £26,500 - £29,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)
Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Role Overview
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] requires an enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable PR Rep for South & Southern Coast area. The successful candidate will support the team to raise awareness about [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] within the local community and help fundraise.
Main Duties
- Develop and maintain relationships with Muslim community institutions, organisations and community groups (including masjids)
- Organise and participate in masjids collections for Ramadan and throughout the year
- Distribute appeal leaflets and display posters at masjids, community venues, businesses and events
- Initiate and plan PR and fundraising events with the support of the regional fundraising team
- Set up and supervise [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] stalls at events and exhibitions
- Assist the PR team in fundraising administrative duties
- Recruit, develop and support local volunteers
- Work closely with and help coordinate the fundraising team and volunteers during fundraising events or programmes
- Represent the charity at relevant events, presentations and meetings including public speaking
- Maintain a close working relationship with the Regional PR Manager, providing regular updates and feedback
- Carry out any other duties as required
Person Specification
Qualifications: Educated to A' Level or NVQ Level 3 standard (Desirable); Classically trained in Islamic Studies or demonstrable equivalent (Desirable)
Experience: Work at pace under time pressures (Essential); Experience of public speaking (Essential)
Skills/Abilities: Able to work well in a team at pace, excellent time management and communication skills, ability to plan and organise work, ability to lead and motivate volunteers (All Essential)
Knowledge: Knowledge of Urdu, Bangla and/or Arabic (Desirable)
Other: Personal conduct aligned with values of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] (Essential); Ability to adapt working hours (Essential); Valid UK driving license and own car (Essential); Residing in South, Southern Coast or nearby areas (Desirable)
