The Role
Based at its head office, [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is looking to appoint an Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to the Chairperson and board of trustees including full governance and administrative service. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive advice and support to the Chairperson, contributing to the smooth functioning of executive-level operations.
Main Duties
- Governance and Management: Work with chairperson on governance; manage trustee meetings; ensure legal compliance; support risk management; work with COO.
- Executive Support: Manage schedules, appointments, communications; handle email correspondence; coordinate travel; prepare expense reports.
- Other Duties: Maintain confidentiality; attend training; adhere to legal requirements; occasional travel and unsociable hours; flexibility.
Person Specification
Essential qualifications: Degree or equivalent; high proficiency in verbal/written communication. Desirable: Business admin, HR, health & safety, facilities management; Islamic Studies graduate.
Essential experience: Strategic and operational planning; executive-level administrative support; meeting management and formal minute taking; governance support; working with people at all levels; line management. Desirable: Portfolio/programme/project management; financial management.
Essential skills: Organisational and diary management; flexibility; flawless communication; telephone manner; multitasking; ability to work under pressure; problem-solving; autonomy; business acumen; relationship building; drafting/writing/research; full Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge: Secretariat, office administration, premises maintenance; legal responsibilities of Company Secretary. Desirable: Charity sector knowledge.
