The Vacancy

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is an award-winning housing and regeneration organisation with a national reputation for innovative urban and social regeneration. An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Repairs Team for a Property Inspector.

The Property Inspector will ensure that all homes are warm, safe, dry, and meet regulatory standards. They will also help to deliver a service that is efficient, cost-effective, and resident focussed. The Property Inspector will carry out Property MOT, front door and quality assurance inspections. They will be responsible for ensuring that every home on a defined patch has a valid, up to date Property MOT and front door inspection, and that follow on actions from these inspections are managed to completion.

The Property Inspector will also be responsible for repair quality assurance on their patch, including post-inspecting repairs and verifying that empty properties meet [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s relet standard before a new tenancy begins.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect homes and communal areas to ensure they meet safety and quality standards
• Plan and schedule inspections
• Diagnose building defects and plan remedial actions
• Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure that works are completed efficiently
• Provide caring, respectful, and timely responses to all contacts
• Maintain accurate records in line with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s policies and procedures
