Salary: £39,959 - £48,117 a year pro rata

Contract: Fixed term (9 months), Part-time (24 hours per week)

Job Summary

Are you a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor) looking for a career within Community Public Health Nursing in Plymouth? Main Duties of the Job

  • Coordinate and deliver skilled, effective care to promote positive health and tackle disadvantage.
  • Undertake community health needs profiling of the caseload.
  • Work with vulnerable children, young people and families in line with national and local safeguarding policies.
  • Work in partnership with health services, education, and social care.
  • Manage and coordinate programmes of intervention for individual children and families.

Person Specification

Knowledge (Essential)

  • Knowledge of current health issues relating to children and families.
  • Knowledge of Children Act, Healthy Child Programme (0-19), Framework for Assessment, Child Protection policies.
  • Evidence of research-based practice and continuing professional development.

Experience (Essential)

  • Experience of working with children and families, including complex families.
  • Experience with child protection concerns and multi-agency working.

Skills (Essential)

  • Ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Self-management, reliability, empathy, adaptability, diplomacy, leadership.
  • Able to lead and line manage a team.

Qualifications (Essential)

  • Specialist Community Public Health Nurse Certificate, Diploma or Degree.
  • NMC Registration.
  • Relevant post registration course.
