Contract Manager (Offshore Wind)

The Role

As a Contract Manager, you will support our clients with managing Tier 1 contracts for offshore wind and infrastructure projects with a focus on critical packages such as WTG, foundations, inter-array and export cables, T&I and transmission/substations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting and negotiating main contracts throughout the lifecycle of project development and execution.
  • Working side by side with the project management team to ensure successful project delivery, balancing risk with solutions that are commercially and contractually optimal.
  • Maintaining a continuous overview of critical milestones, assess and manage rights and obligations according to the contract.
  • Directing and processing changes, variations and claims in the project and ensure that the changes are implemented in compliance with our client’s commercial interests.
  • Providing interpretation of contracts, organize and process correspondence with contracting parties and monitor fulfilment of contractual obligations.
  • Managing the commercial relationship and communicating with contractors during the execution phase of the project, keeping a close dialogue with them to ensure that issues are dealt with proactively with diligence and foresight.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of the contract within the set mandate.
  • Driving governance processes and required presentation material towards different stakeholders and decision bodies such as the Steering Committee.
  • Contributing to further developing processes regarding contract management.

Business and Personnel Development

  • Tools and Procedure; support to the overall group through contributing to the development of tools and procedures including the Contracts Management Practice Group.
  • Contribute or host informal and formal training sessions with the overall group.
  • Work closely and in collaboration with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] U.S.'s growing team and the client(s) project team(s).
  • You will also work closely with the global [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] organization that currently consists of more than 90 persons across the world.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking passionate and motivated contract management professionals with:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a matrix organization.
  • Experience within the energy or construction industries.
  • Experience with managing contracts.
  • Experience and confidence in leading negotiations.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Structured and methodical way of working.
