About the role and how to apply

We are recruiting a qualified OISC level 1 worker to act as the first point of contact for immigration enquiries. You should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in immigration and an understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on Asian women with an insecure immigration status. As the ideal candidate you will be responsible for triaging the enquiries, providing advice and completing initial assessments. You will support the level 2/3 worker in the preparation of applications for submission to the Home Office and will be expected to have up to date working knowledge of Home Office policies relating to domestic abuse including Destitute Domestic Violence Concession (DDVC) and Asylum. Fluency in at least one South Asian language is essential (Urdu/Punjabi preferred). Closing date for completed applications is midnight Thursday 9th February 2023. Due to the sensitive nature of the role we will be considering female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the Occupational Requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to schedule 9 part).
