[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] (LRMN) is a thriving organisation providing specialist legal advice and support to refugees and migrants in London. We are looking for an Immigration Manager to lead our immigration team.

Location: London | Salary: £32-35k (depending on experience) + NI + 4% pension contributions | Hours: 35 hours/week (full-time) | Closing Date: 30 June 2020

About the Role

As our Immigration Manager, your main responsibilities are to provide advice and casework at LSC Level 2/OISC Level 3 on immigration, nationality and asylum law and to ensure [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s immigration service is running effectively and efficiently. You will manage a complex caseload across the field of immigration, nationality and asylum law and represent clients at tribunals as and when necessary. You will provide line management support to your team members including 1:1 supervision, coaching, performance appraisal, file reviews and more and ensure that they provide high quality immigration and asylum advice and information.

Requirements

  • Accredited to LSC IAAS Level 2 and/or registered at OISC level 3, or a qualified Immigration Solicitor
  • Minimum of 5 years' full-time experience of immigration, asylum and nationality legal advice and representation
  • Awareness of issues and barriers faced by refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in accessing appropriate services
  • Experience of working in the voluntary sector is desirable
  • Highly motivated, able to work alone and as part of a team
