Safeguarding Panel Chair
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Safeguarding Panel Chair to provide independent leadership and oversight of safeguarding practices. The role involves chairing the Group Safeguarding Panel, ensuring robust governance and person-centred support for adults with learning disabilities. Requires significant safeguarding experience at senior level, strong values alignment, and commitment to human rights. Remote, contract role with £4,500 per annum, 12-15 days per year.
About the role
As Chair of the Group Safeguarding Panel, you will provide independent leadership and constructive challenge, ensuring robust oversight, strong assurance and continuous learning across the organisation. The Panel plays a critical governance role, offering assurance to the Group Board that safeguarding responsibilities are fully embedded in everyday practice and that concerns are addressed openly, proportionately and with the individual at the centre. Occasional visits to engage with people we support and colleagues will form a valuable part of the role.
The person we’re looking for
We are looking for someone with significant safeguarding experience at senior operational or strategic level, ideally within social care, health or a related sector. You will be someone who:

Practical details
- Time commitment: Approximately 12–15 days per year
