About Us
We are building and automating our internal accountancy system to streamline operations and improve efficiency. We are looking for a skilled Full Stack Engineer to join our team and take ownership of designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications with modern technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain web applications for our internal accountancy automation system.
- Develop intuitive, responsive, and performant user interfaces with React.js and TypeScript.
- Build scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js (Express or similar frameworks).
- Integrate with databases, third-party services, and internal tools.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning.
- Ensure application security, performance, and reliability.
Requirements
- Strong experience with React.js, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs and/or GraphQL.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
- Knowledge of software development best practices: testing, CI/CD, version control (Git).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Experience in building or automating financial/accountancy-related systems is a big plus.
- Must be based in the UK. Sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with accounting principles or ERP systems.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Background in automation of workflows and business processes.
