Job Details

• Salary: £34,171.88 per annum
• Hours: 45 hours per week
• Location: Transfer Plant, Poles Lane, Otterbourne, Hampshire SO21 2EA

What you’ll be doing

• Balance gas well fields and monitor gas flare operations
• Conduct environmental sampling and monitoring
• Perform regular site checks on leachate wells and implement corrections
• Maintain and install gas and leachate infrastructure
• Carry out minor electrical works
• Perform well remediation and fusion welding
• Manage leachate treatment plants
• Conduct audits and monitor water, leachate, and gas levels

What we're looking for

• Basic mechanical and electrical skills desirable
• Valid driving license essential
• Understanding of waste treatment biological processes preferred
• Strong appreciation of Health and Safety practices
• Computer literacy required
• Knowledge of gas systems infrastructure
• Familiarity with leachate pumping systems
• GCSE qualifications in maths, English, and science
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
• Good physical fitness
