Department

The School for Social Care Research (SSCR), funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), is a national collaboration of leading academic centres working to improve adult social care practice in England. The current phase of SSCR (2024–2029), based within the School for Business and Society at the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], aims to deliver a substantial programme of research and capacity building activity, working across multiple partner institutions and engaging with policy, practice and public stakeholders.

Role

The Impact Manager will play a key role in delivering the School’s impact strategy across a large, national research portfolio. Working closely with the SSCR Director and Programme Manager, you will oversee impact activity across projects and partner institutions, ensuring that impact is systematically captured, evidenced and reported. You will lead the commissioning and management of impact funding calls, support researchers to strengthen impact delivery, and contribute to reporting to NIHR and governance groups. This is a varied role requiring strong organisational skills, the ability to work across multiple stakeholders, and confidence in analysing and presenting complex information. This is a fixed-term contract until 30 April 2029.

  • Experience managing a funding process or competitive call
