Advanced Clinical Practitioner - Oldham Urgent Care
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking an Advanced Clinical Practitioner for the Oldham Urgent Care Centre and Primary Care Streaming Service. The role involves face-to-face assessment and management of primary care presentations, as well as NHS 111 telephone assessment and triage. Salary: £55,157 to £68,544 a year plus enhancements. Permanent contract with full-time, part-time, and bank options. Closing date: 17 May 2026.
Main Duties
- Holistically assess and clinically examine patients with minor and complex needs.
- Access community services, SDEC, and secondary care referrals.
- Utilise technology for telephone and video consultations.
- Work closely with The Royal Oldham Hospital to stream primary care patients from ED.
- Provide leadership and support to the wider team.

Job Responsibilities
Clinical Practice
- Assess and holistically clinically examine patients with both minor and complex needs.
- Plan, implement and evaluate management plans.
- Provide information on medication regimens, side-effects and interactions.
- Prioritise health problems and intervene in urgent/emergency situations.
- Refer and discharge safely with safety-netting advice.
- Triage telephone referrals and calls.
Communication
- Demonstrate sensitive communication styles.
- Communicate effectively with patients and carers.

Non-Medical Prescribing

Qualifications
- Registered health care professional with MSc Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent.
- V300 Non-Medical Prescriber.
