Booking Agent (Reservations / Hospitality / Events)

Our client is a bespoke accommodation service specialising in sourcing hotels, serviced apartments, and private housing to individuals and groups. They are seeking a Booking Agent to join their team. This role is Monday-Friday with a salary of up to £32,000.

Booking Agent Responsibilities

  • Research and source suitable accommodation options based on client requirements
  • Communicate with hotels and accommodation providers to gather rates, availability, and amenities
  • Compile and present accurate accommodation proposals to clients
  • Process bookings, manage documentation, and liaise with hotels to ensure smooth reservations
  • Oversee group accommodation bookings, including rooming lists and rate negotiations
  • Maintain and update the company’s master database with search results and booking details
  • Act as a key contact for clients, managing expectations and resolving any in-house guest issues

Booking Agent Skills Required

  • Strong communication skills with a professional and confident telephone manner
  • Excellent spoken and written English with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to negotiate rates and manage bookings from start to finish
  • Skilled in multitasking and handling multiple projects with accuracy
  • Adaptable, proactive, and able to work under deadlines while supporting team members
  • Proficient in Mac and PC systems, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Mac Mail
  • Knowledge of Excel is essential
