Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and driven Warehouse Operative, ideally with VNA experience, who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload vehicles using manual handling techniques and equipment such as pallet trucks, FLT, or VNA where licensed.
- Unload deliveries from suppliers and couriers.
- Check goods against delivery notes and invoices.
- Label and store stock accurately in designated locations.
- Apply stock rotation methods including FIFO and LIFO.
- Pick items accurately from a large inventory of 5000+ product lines.
- Pack goods securely and prepare them for dispatch.
- Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies.
- Update inventory systems using both manual and digital methods.
- Prepare and load orders for shipment.
- Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, VNA trucks, pallet jacks, and scanners where trained.
- Follow strict health and safety procedures at all times.
About You
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehouse operative role, ideally within a high-volume, multi-line picking environment.
- Experience handling heavy-duty products safely.
- Comfortable working in a physically active role with high daily step counts.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and best practices.
- VNA or forklift licence is essential for the VNA-focused version of the role.
- Confident using pick sheets.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
- Flexible with working hours when required.
