FULL DESCRIPTION

Care Assistant

Join our Ripley team covering Belper, with local home care rounds, paid training and a role where you get to know the people you support.

  • Hourly Rate: £15/hr (£14.50/hr during probation) + 40p per mile
  • Shifts: 7am-3pm, 3pm-10pm
  • Location: Belper, Derbyshire
  • Type: Part-time & Full-time

About this role

We are hiring care assistants to cover Belper and nearby parts of Amber Valley. You will visit people in their own homes, helping with personal care, medication, meals and companionship. Some clients need practical support; others mainly need consistency, reassurance and someone dependable checking in each day.

Belper is a rewarding area to work because relationships matter. Many of the people we support have lived there for years and want carers who understand that home care is about dignity and routine, not just ticking tasks off a list. We keep teams small so clients see familiar faces and carers have a proper sense of ownership over their patch.

If you want care work that feels more personal and less conveyor-belt, this is a good fit. We will train you, back you up and give you a realistic local round rather than expecting miracles with no support.

Benefits

  • £15/hr (£14.50 during your six-month probation)
  • 40p per mile for every mile you drive
  • Paid training from your first day
  • DBS refunded after probation
  • £250 refer-a-friend bonus
  • Blue Light Card for discounts
  • 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme
  • Extra day of holiday for each year you stay (up to 5 extra days)
  • Real career progression if you want it
