We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Production Operative to become a vital part of our onsite Production Team at our Protein site in Normanton. If you are passionate about Production and eager to contribute to a dynamic team, this role is perfect for you!
Position Details
- Schedule: 4 on 2 off, rotating morning and afternoon shifts between 6:30am and 10:30pm

- Contract Type: Permanent
Please note that [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] operates as a high care, chilled meat processing and packing facility, handling poultry, pork, and beef.
Key Responsibilities
- Play a vital part in day-to-day operations, ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Work within a high care chilled environment, handling food products, operating machinery, and adhering to strict hygiene and safety procedures.
- Ensure products are correctly packed and labelled to target in line with company and customer expectations.
- Report any defects or poor quality to a Line Leader.
- Correctly pack finished goods safely, to specification standards and in the correct orientation within each box.
- Safely stack boxes to a required height.
What Are We Looking For?
- Good practical skills and the ability to work quickly and methodically within a team.
- Ability to concentrate whilst doing repetitive tasks and follow instructions.
- ‘Can do’ attitude and proactive approach.
- Understanding of health and safety policies in the workplace.
- Entry level in both written and spoken English.
- Previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment is essential; food production or chilled environment background desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Willingness to work in a chilled environment (protective clothing provided).
