Project Manager - Social Housing Decarbonisation Programme

The Role: This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering retrofit and energy efficiency improvements funded through the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF), with a strong focus on Wave 2 and Wave 3 projects. As Project Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end delivery across SHDF funded schemes, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to regulatory and quality standards. You will work closely with housing associations, contractors, consultants, and local authorities to drive successful retrofit programmes that contribute to the UK’s sustainability targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of SHDF Wave 2 and Wave 3 decarbonisation projects.
  • Manage project lifecycle from mobilisation through to completion.
  • Oversee budgets, timelines, risks, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Coordinate contractors and retrofit supply chain partners.
  • Ensure compliance with PAS 2035 and retrofit standards.
  • Monitor performance, reporting progress to senior stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement and best practice in retrofit delivery.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within social housing retrofit/decarbonisation.
  • Strong knowledge of SHDF funding (Wave 2 & 3).
  • Experience delivering energy efficiency measures (EWI, IWI, heat pumps, insulation, etc.).
  • Understanding of PAS 2035 and retrofit coordination principles.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
