About the Role
We are looking for a Director of Sales to lead the turnaround and growth of third-party revenue channels across e-retail, physical retail and B2B for [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group's Experiences division (Buyagift and Red Letter Days). Reporting to the Commercial Director for Experiences, this is a high-impact leadership role with full P&L ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- P&L ownership and turnaround delivery: Own full P&L for third party channels, stabilise performance, deliver recovery plan.
- Trading rhythm and performance discipline: Establish weekly trading rhythm, set clear targets, improve forecast accuracy.
- Channel strategy and execution: Define role of third party channels, position Buyagift as leading partner, identify new channels.
- Commercial negotiations, account growth and new business development: Lead senior negotiations, drive new business, build pipeline.
- Operational excellence: Re-establish high standards across availability, stock performance, content and distribution.
- Team reset and leadership: Build proactive sales-led culture, lead team of c.8, raise bar on commercial thinking.
- Senior stakeholder engagement: Share clear performance updates, communicate risks and actions, partner with leadership.
About You
- Strong experience owning P&L in sales or commercial channel environments, ideally in Retail channel leadership / Marketplace / e-commerce.
- Proven success managing and growing retail and e-retail accounts at a senior level.
- Experience driving trading cadence, margin performance and in-year interventions.
- Track record of leading teams through change, turnaround or performance reset.
- Sharp commercial instinct and confidence negotiating trading terms.
- Focus on outcomes, bias for action, comfortable in fast-paced environments.
- Decisive leadership style, clear communicator, comfortable challenging constructively.
