Location: Selby, North Yorkshire

Salary: £13.45 per hour

Contract: Fixed Term (Paid) – 12 months initially, Part-time (28 hours/week), Term-time only

Closing Date: 15th May 2026

Job Purpose

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting a small group of young people in real work environments
  • Helping them develop confidence, communication, and independence
  • Supporting behavior in a calm, positive, and practical way
  • Assisting with Maths, English, and employability skills (1 day/week)
  • Helping learners prepare for jobs, applications, and interviews
  • Working as part of a supportive team to track and celebrate progress

Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience working with young people or vulnerable groups
  • Understanding of additional needs (SEN), behaviour, or mental health
  • Background in education, youth work, or care (formal or informal)
  • Bonus: TA, Youth Work, or Health and Social Care qualifications; experience with EHCPs

The Details

  • Tuesday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm
  • Term-time only (34 weeks per year)
  • 12-month fixed term contract
  • Based in Selby (with outdoor working)
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle required
