HGV Technician

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a qualified HGV Technician for a permanent full-time role based in Rugby. The role involves maintaining fleets of trucks and trailers, diagnostics, and repairs. Salary starting at £41,886 with overtime and benefits.

The Job

  • Supporting customers at their sites by maintaining and repairing fleets of trucks & trailers in accordance with current legislation.
  • Fault-finding and diagnostics.
  • Completing inspections on engines and electrical components and rectifying problems within specific timeframes.
  • Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to both new and used trucks & trailers.
  • Working on large double deck trailers (double deck experience is required).

Essential Skills & Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent);
  • Knowledge and experience of servicing and maintaining HGVs and other commercial vehicles and the ability to perform repairs on various types and brands of vehicle;
  • Experience in carrying out diagnostic repairs and fault finding;
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
