FULL DESCRIPTION

Development Underwriter

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is the new name for RSA in the UK, Ireland, and across Europe. We are looking for a Development Underwriter to join our team in the South West of England.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the sourcing process for growth within existing partners, new distribution channels, presenting to new clients, securing invitations to tender and negotiating profitable solutions
  • Building and implementing sales strategies for broker panel to deliver sales plans. Alongside this you will take responsibility for monthly monitoring as well as developing and implementing action plans to ensure delivery of financials.
  • Providing leadership and direction for the underwriting team to encourage better / smarter working and support the development strategies for broker panel.
  • Maintaining and developing a good understanding of relevant product market, sector, geographic location, distribution segmentation and communicate market developments to appropriate internal stakeholders, supporting business opportunities throughout [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal].

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in underwriting in Brokers offices negotiating new business and renewals. Preferably Property & Casualty but we can also consider Motor.
  • Account Management experience
  • Ability to discuss account performance with broker partners
  • Experience in the agricultural sector is preferred but not necessary.
