Job Description

As a Commercial Property Claims Handler at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], you will be responsible for managing commercial property claims and supporting customers and brokers through the claims process. The role offers the opportunity to work on a varied caseload, build technical claims experience, and develop your career within a supportive and well-established insurance business. You will be part of a collaborative team with access to training, clear processes, and opportunities to progress.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Investigating and managing commercial property claims from first notification through to settlement, progressing claims promptly and in line with agreed service standards and business objectives.
  • Supporting customers and brokers throughout the claims journey, ensuring consistent communication and adherence to agreed claims processes and service propositions.
  • Applying technical claims knowledge to assess liability, resolve queries, and agree settlements accurately and fairly.
  • Sharing knowledge and best practice with colleagues, supporting team capability and continuous improvement.

Your skills and experience:

  • Previous experience handling commercial property claims, with a good understanding of policy wording, coverage, and claims processes.
  • Ability to manage a varied claims caseload, progressing claims efficiently while meeting service standards and deadlines.
  • Good communication skills, with experience dealing with brokers, policyholders, loss adjusters, and internal teams.
  • Good attention to detail and sound judgement when assessing liability, reviewing documentation, and agreeing settlements.
