Kitchen Assistant (Cary Brook)

About the Role

You will help prepare meals, keep the kitchen clean, and support dining activities. This is a part-time role with 20 hours per week, alternate weekends required.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation under supervision.
• Clean kitchen equipment, floors, surfaces, drainage systems, cupboards, and storage areas.
• Carry out kitchen and dining room activities such as laying tables and clearing away.
• Take proper care of equipment and use cleaning chemicals in line with Health and Safety guidelines.
• Use hygienic and appropriate waste disposal systems.
• Use powered equipment after training (e.g., dishwasher) and perform manual handling tasks.
• Maintain a professional and hygienic appearance.

• Experience of working within a kitchen setting
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, caring approach, reliability, time management, honesty, respect for confidentiality
• Clean and tidy appearance, clear communication
• Team player
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
• Positive, can-do attitude and genuine passion for people
• Able to work alternate weekends
