Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for you to come and join our team as an Engineering Apprentice. Our engineering apprenticeship programme in Oakdale, South Wales will give you the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the fields of general engineering. Acting in partnership with a local training provider, Newport & District Group Training Association (NDGTA), we have developed a four-year programme where you will work towards: NVQ (Level 3) and BTEC HNC Electrical/Electronic qualifications.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, integrity, professionalism, flexibility and commitment.
  • Be self-motivated, enthusiastic and an interest in engineering within the defence industry
  • Demonstrate skills in problem solving and being innovative.
  • Be committed to learning and developing their skills
  • Applicants must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade A-C/9-4 in English and Maths. Additional STEM-related subjects are also beneficial.
  • You must also be able to attend Newport and District Group Training Association (NDGTA) centre and our site in Oakdale to undertake the apprenticeship.

Additional Information

The starting salary for these roles is £18,000 with yearly review during the course over the apprenticeship.
