Engineering Higher Apprenticeship

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is looking to recruit talented people to join our Engineering Higher Apprenticeship Scheme in September 2025 at our innovation centre in Cwmfelinfach, Wales. We design, manufacture and market a wide range of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] engineering products and solutions. How it works

As an Engineering Apprentice, you will receive training from industry professionals in one of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s key segments. You will work with multiple departments, gaining hands-on experience in design and manufacture while earning a Degree level qualification. The apprenticeship is a total of 5 years, starting from HNC through to Degree level. Your learning will initially take place at Newport & District Group Training Association’s specialist training facility in Llantarnam.

The Challenge

  • Provide support to various departments / department leads during your training period, completing work assignments as directed by the local Supervisor.
  • Learn about products, processes, machinery, systems, culture and people through completion of the Apprenticeship scheme.
  • Provide reports, analysis and statistical data as required by local management.
  • May provide support and guidance to other Apprentices and to HR in delivering induction / hiring activities, presentations etc.

Qualifications

  • GCSEs at Grade C/4 in English Language, Maths and at least 3 other subjects.
  • BTEC or T-Level qualification, preferably in engineering with a mechanical / electronics bias, OR 3 A Levels with one of the subjects being Maths or Physics and a result of grade B minimum.
  • You should have a genuine interest in electronics / mechanical engineering and this must be demonstrated in you CV/cover letter upon application.
