Vacancy Introduction
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in developing the Leeds Mental Health Support Teams. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Senior Clinical Practitioner to work across our teams, to support, have a specialism in supervision and leading on the co-ordination of our trainees. You will be expected to support the provision of high quality care to children, young people (CYP) and their families, and to offer clinical leadership across the service. You will also be a part of the wider service’s leadership team, contributing to service development and partnership working. The service offers early intervention mental health support to children, young people, and their families within education provisions across Leeds. We are continually growing and supporting a newly developing workforce of EMHP's. As a Senior co-ordinator you will be expected to have an excellent understanding of what low intensity CBT is and an understanding of supervision requirements for our whole workforce (Core professions and EMHP's). A key skill you will bring to the role is prioritisation to ensure the effective throughput of cases. There will be a core expectation that you have regular liaison with the university whilst we have trainees in the service, being the point of contact for the service for any challenges/concerns being raised regarding the trainee EMHP and to ensure regular communication with team managers and the service manager if escalation is needed. You will hold responsibility for ensuring the supervision structure is up to date and accurate across the service and sharing service wide updates about the service's supervision offers (including CPD around supervision). Senior Clinical Practitioner's are expected to hold a small caseload and support the service as part of the leadership team. We strongly recommend candidates contact the service for a discussion prior to interview. For questions about the job role, please contact Christina Edwards at [contact hidden].
