Infection Prevention & Control Nurse Specialist/Specialist Practitioner - Care Homes
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring an experienced IPC practitioner to lead on care home infection prevention in Leeds. This is a permanent, on-site role based at Chapeltown Health Centre, Leeds.
- Salary: £49,387 - £56,515 per annum pro rata
- Contract: Permanent, 37.5 hours/week (part-time considered)
- Closing Date: 29 May 2026
Main Duties
- Develop and provide IPC training and education to care home and adult social care partners
- Undertake the IPC audit programme for care homes
- Offer bespoke support to care homes in response to incidents or challenges
- Work in partnership with local authority commissioners
- Collaborate with health protection colleagues on seasonal projects such as vaccination
- Provide reports on IPC activity and audit summaries
- Be the main point of contact and IPC lead for care home and adult social care economy
- Support the wider IPC team as necessary
