Working Hours: 36 hours per week, shifts: 6:00am–1:30pm/1:30pm–9:00pm Monday–Thursday, 6:00am–12:00pm/12:00pm–6:00pm Friday. Probationary period hours: 8:00am–5:00pm days.

Based at Ashton Road, Hyde. Reports to Facilities Manager.

Role Overview

As our Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], you will be hands-on, responsible for fault diagnosing, electrical and mechanical repair and maintenance of machinery including automated assembly cells, injection moulding, hydraulic presses, extrusion lines. Also involves electrical installation work (armoured cable, lighting, power) and completing PPM activities. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in a similar role with extensive understanding of electrical and mechanical practices.

Essential Criteria

  • Hold at least NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent with HNC/HND.
  • Proficient fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • 18th edition wiring regulations BS 7671.
  • Experience working with and fault finding on PLCs and HMIs.
  • Experience in a factory/production environment in a similar role is preferred.

Desirable Criteria

  • Apprentice trained or equivalent.
