Summary of Role
- Managing several multi-currency ledgers including journal postings, revaluations and FX proof calculations.
- Preparation and entry of month end journals (accruals, prepayments, depreciation, payroll, intercompany).
- Intra-Group AR processing from raising invoices to credit control and cash allocation.
- Production of timely monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Accounts payable and GRNI reconciliations.
- Maintenance of fixed asset register and related month end journals.
- Reconciliation of intercompany balances including counterparty confirmations.
- Ownership of monthly management reporting into Group consolidation system (Oracle FCCS) for Head Office entities.
- Managing technical accounting requirements for all Head Office entities.
- Prepare and maintain Head Office process notes.
- Supporting preparation of statutory accounts and year end audit files.
- Support Head of Group Reporting and Finance Manager on ad hoc matters.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong academics and qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Highly organized with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable with technical accounting for monthly and statutory accounts.
- Builds strong relationships at all levels.
- Excellent understanding of general ledger accounting.
- Experience of accounts payable operations.
- Extensive experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Good understanding of financial processes and controls.
- Experience in a large international organization.
- Experience of technical accounting under UK GAAP.
- Desirable: Sage Intacct, balance sheet reconciliation software, IFRS, entity statutory accounts and audit management.
