Sessional Activity Coordinator

Salary: £12.71 per hour | Hours: Sessional hours | Contract: Temporary | Location: Marden House, Calne, Wiltshire SN11 0JJ

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative service for adults with learning disabilities, who may also have mental health needs or autism. You will be part of a small team providing activities for customers to develop life skills and meet individual outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to plan daily activities to a high-quality standard in-line with the service monthly calendar.
  • Support in activities, engage with and support customers with their learning needs on an individual basis.
  • Be responsible for overseeing and keeping updated daily customer records.
  • Engage with customers each day ensuring correct level of support per individual plans.
  • Take responsibility for key customers as a Key Worker for assigned individuals.

Main Requirements

  • Pro-actively research, organise, facilitate and implement a range of individual, paired and group activities within and outside of the Centre promoting independence and choice.
  • Liaise with other agencies dealing with complex enquiries in absence of Service Manager or Senior Support Officer.
  • Participate in staff meetings, supervision, yearly appraisal and required training (eLearning, safeguarding, GDPR).
  • Be alert to issues or incidents concerning customers, report to Service Manager, record all concerns and update safeguarding records.
  • Appointments subject to pre-employment checks including satisfactory DBS disclosure – ADULTS ENHANCED.
