Support, Time and Recovery Worker
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is recruiting a Support, Time and Recovery Worker for the Bolton Listening Lounge. This is a part-time, temporary role based in Bolton, Greater Manchester, providing evening mental health support.

About the Role
At [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], we support people through change, challenge or crisis. Working in partnership with Greater Manchester Mental Health Foundation Trust and MhIST, the Bolton Listening Lounge provides a safe space for people experiencing mental distress or personal crisis. The service offers low-level calming interventions and one-to-one support to identify causes of distress and create a plan including signposting and referral.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated team delivering person-centred, compassionate care in a non-clinical setting. The role is office-based and includes evening and weekend work on a four-week rolling rota.
Main Responsibilities
- Using relational approaches, carry out initial ‘getting to know you’ conversations and provide practical and emotional support to individuals accessing the Listening Lounge Service, including completing assessments and developing support plans
- Maintaining accurate case files and risk management plans in line with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s Quality Standards
- Contribute to the development of the Listening Lounge Service by sharing learning, thoughts and ideas, and gaining service user feedback
Main Requirements
- Qualification at level 3 or above in Health, Social Care or Mental Health or demonstrable experience in a related field and commitment to continued learning
- Experience of working in a mental health setting
- Ability to build rapport and develop trusting relationships with service users
- Experience of conducting strengths-based, holistic assessments and developing personal action plans
- Appointment subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Adult DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service
