Children and Families Domestic Abuse Support Workers

Location: Bradford (working across Bradford District)

Salary: £25,221 - £27,780 per annum FTE

Hours: One full time post (37 hrs) and one part time post (22.2 hrs over 3 days)

Contract: Fixed Term (12 months)

We protect children, support young people and adults and offer direct, practical help to families and communities. The Survive and Thrive Integrated Children’s Service provides specialist support to children, young people and families affected by domestic abuse. We are seeking a Domestic Abuse Support Worker to deliver trauma-informed support to children and young people, helping to reduce the impact of trauma and support the rebuilding of safe, healthy relationships following domestic abuse.

Main Responsibilities

  • Completing whole family assessments to identify need
  • Building support plans with families to address the impact of domestic abuse
  • Delivering trauma informed interventions with children, young people and their families

Main Requirements

  • Experience of working directly with children, young people and their families where there has been domestic abuse.
  • An understanding and experience of trauma informed approaches to working with children and families
  • Experience of safeguarding risk assessment, identifying safeguarding concerns and following procedures
