Clinical Service Manager

Salary: £37,211 - £41,518 FTE per annum (pro rata £29,768.80 - £33,214.40)

Hours: 29.6 hours per week (part-time)

Contract: Temporary (maternity cover, 12 months)

This role leads and oversees high-quality support services for adults, children, and communities, ensuring effective service pathways, safeguarding compliance, and quality assurance while managing staff and volunteers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, supervision, and professional development for staff and volunteers.
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies and risk management.
  • Lead all audit activity, including monthly audits, case reviews, and Service Level Reviews.
  • Produce and submit all required service reporting, including monthly scorecards and quarterly commissioner reports.
  • Oversee service finance processes, including monthly accounts and budget monitoring.
  • Lead clinical governance, including waiting list management and referral oversight.
  • Chair clinical team meetings and provide line management and wellbeing support.
  • Attend partnership meetings and multi-agency forums.
  • Contribute to service development and operational planning.

Main Requirements

  • Experience in service leadership and operations, including managing referrals and safeguarding procedures.
  • Experience in counselling or psychotherapy in an organisational setting.
  • Understanding of the traumatic impact of sexual abuse, domestic violence, and other trauma.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, quality assurance, and risk management.
  • Ability to build partnerships with stakeholders and multi-agency teams.
  • Financial and contract management experience.
  • Appointment subject to satisfactory DBS disclosure.
