Room Leader – Ladybirds Room

Salary: £12.74 per hour

Hours: 35 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (part time, term time only)

Contract: Permanent

Main Responsibilities

  • You will lead a small team within the Ladybirds room at our Cygnets setting.
  • You will be responsible as a key worker for progressing the learning and development of the children in your care.
  • You will support the setting supervisor and deputy with leadership tasks and administrative roles.

Main Requirements

  • You will hold an early years and childcare qualification at a minimum of level 3.
  • You will be an energetic, self-motivated and innovative individual who is keen to bring along new ideas and make them happen.
  • Good written skills for observation and report writing.
  • You will have some experience of working at a senior level or be confident taking on additional responsibilities.
  • You will have experience with early identification and support of additional needs.
  • You will have experience of following best safeguarding practice.
  • Ability to organise workload, meet competing priorities and flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules.
  • Ability to build positive relationships, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively.
