Trainee Debt Recovery Paralegal

Location: Byker, Newcastle (fully office-based)
Salary: £26,436.80 per year plus monthly bonus
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with flexibility

Responsibilities
- Maintaining an active case load with the aim of ensuring maximum client conversion and debt recovery.
- Carrying out residency and other searches. Assessing Debtors’ ability to pay.
- Support with Debtor negotiations.
- Monitoring payment plans.
- Commencement of the Pre-Action Protocols.
- Assist with drafting Court documents to include Part 7 Proceedings, Applications for Attachments of Earnings Orders and Charging Orders.
- Assist with drafting Witness Statements.
- Assist with preparing cases for Trial.
- Support with debt recovery litigation.
- Liaising with in house legal Teams and other Businesses within [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group.
- Instructing and liaising with external agencies.
- Ensure compliance with Information Security Policies including data confidentiality and the operational security of the Information Systems used.
- To ensure you uphold the Core Values of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group.
- Any ad hoc or additional duties as deemed fit and appropriate by the Management Team.
