FULL DESCRIPTION

Senior Family Time Supervisor

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Senior Family Time Supervisor based in Gillingham, UK. This is a part-time (10 hours per week), permanent role. Salary: Grade 2 Point 16 – starting at £24,724 FTE per annum, rising to £27,232 FTE (pro rata for hours). Closing date: 22 October 2024.

About the Role

You will work closely with the Family Time Manager and Coordinator, leading on quality assurance of reports and supporting the development of an audit system. You will deputise for the Service Coordinator and support continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead on quality assurance of Medway Family Time reports ensuring high quality and meeting KPIs.
  • Embed good practice of report writing and support induction of new staff.
  • Support staff to improve report writing skills.
  • Have operational knowledge of Inform and support database development and audit.
  • Work with Service Manager and Coordinator to implement audit processes.
  • Support achievement and maintenance of NACCC accreditation.
  • Deliver safe and effective supervised Family Time sessions.
  • Line manage a small number of Family Time supervisors.
  • Promote and maintain Family Time arrangements respecting children's wishes.
  • Understand and comply with safeguarding procedures and risk assessments.
  • Ensure sessions are positive and address key observations for court reports.

Main Requirements

  • Educated to level three or above (or working towards) with experience in social work, health, education, early years, youth work or equivalent.
  • Ability to work with families in conflict and remain impartial.
  • Confident and professional approach with service users, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Excellent verbal, listening, and written skills including IT skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workload effectively.
  • Satisfactory DBS disclosure (Enhanced Children and Adults).
