About the Job

We are looking for two Trainee Parenting Practitioners to join [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] and undertake a Postgraduate Diploma on a full-time, fixed-term contract for one year, 37 hours per week, with the potential to become permanent upon completion.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a BABCP accredited health and social care professional to gain a funded Postgraduate Diploma and help make a real difference to families in need.

The Role

As a Trainee Parenting Practitioner, you will deliver therapeutic support to parents and carers of children under five as part of the Diploma. Two days per week will be spent in face-to-face and online training, and three days per week engaging in clinical work across Manchester. You'll liaise with Health Visitors, Social Services, Education and other agencies, maintain records, and ensure child safety.

About You

  • Two years post-qualification experience in a core profession as defined by the BABCP (e.g., Health Visitors, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, etc.) OR for other professions, a minimum of four years' experience with children, young people and families.
  • Membership of the BABCP
  • A relevant Honours Degree graded at 2.2 (or successful completion of a written task if no degree)
