Triage and Information Officer

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is recruiting a Triage and Information Officer for its Dorset SENDIASS service. This home-based, part-time role (15 hours/week) is a one-year fixed term contract. The post holder will be the first point of contact, providing information and signposting to families of children with SEND.

About the Job

  • Service: Dorset SENDIASS
  • Location: Home-based, with a requirement for some travel
  • Hours: 15 hours per week (part-time), 2-3 days including Monday & Thursday
  • Salary: £22,771 - £24,206 FTE per annum + £480 homeworking allowance per annum (pro-rata for part-time)
  • Contract type: One year fixed term in the first instance, with opportunity to extend if budget allows
  • Closing Date: Tuesday 28th January 2025 at 11:59pm
  • Interview Date: Wednesday 5th February 2025

Your Impact

You will make a difference to the lives of children, young people with SEND and their families by delivering swift, consistent and effective support, signposting to other services in Dorset and identifying cases that require more detailed intervention from SENDIASS Case Officers and/or the Child and Young Person Lead.

Your Skills

  • Confident communicator across telephone and email
  • Key role in developing website and social media content (Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram)
  • Trained to IPSEA Level 1 (provided) to give appropriate advice
  • Strong customer service with empathy and understanding
