Retail Sales Assistant
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Retail Sales Assistant for their Govan shop. The role involves preparing and serving bakery and food-to-go products, handling transactions, stocking shelves, and maintaining displays. Part-time (16 hours/week) with shifts between 5am and 5pm, including weekends. Requires flexibility, some retail experience preferred, and excellent communication skills.
- Location: Unit 2 Govan Shopping Centre, 795 Govan Road, G51 3JW
- Salary: £10.54 to £12.93 per hour (under 18 rate £10.54)
- Hours: 16 hours per week, shifts between 5am and 5pm, any 4 days from 7
- Closing date: 05/06/2026

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve customers with a range of hot and cold bakery and food to go products.
- Set up and maintain counter and window displays in line with our guidelines.
- Deal with customer pre-orders and process payment and paperwork accordingly.
- Take payment for goods using electronic tills and processing by cash and card.
- Stock shelves with products.
- Answer queries from customers.
- Give advice and guidance on products to customers.
- Report discrepancies and problems to the management team.
- Cleaning of shop & facilities.
Ideal Candidate
- Previous food retailing experience / Food to Go.
- Great communication skills.
- A positive attitude, we’ll need you be resilient.
- Cash handling experience / working touch screen tills (don’t worry, we’ll teach you).
- You will be required to be flexible with your hours, you will need to be available to work between Monday to Sunday any 4 days from 7.
