Showroom Host/Assistant – London

The role involves greeting clients, maintaining showroom appearance, assisting with appointments, and providing excellent customer service.

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] opened a London showroom in the heart of the West End in Autumn 2013. [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] London is located on George Street in Marylebone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and greet existing and prospective clients, customers of clients and suppliers.
  • Introduce clients to the showroom concept and products on display.
  • Help with arrangement of the showroom to ensure an immaculate facility.
  • Assist the manager and director by arranging appointments, taking notes of client choices, etc.
  • Occasionally prepare and serve refreshments for showroom visitors and meetings.
  • Maintain a database of showroom visits/clients and keep it up to date.
  • Maintain a visitor/diary log and monitor the daily agenda and appointments.
  • Be pro-active in ensuring the showroom gallery and meeting spaces are welcoming.

  • Professional attitude towards clients, customers of clients and suppliers.
  • Work as a member of the team, predominantly with Showroom Manager and Directors.
  • Proficient in all main Microsoft Windows programmes and database control.
  • Excellent communication skills for clients and colleagues.
  • Interest in interior design and architecture.
  • Enthusiasm for the products, ability to learn quickly about the company and product ranges.
  • Organised person, willing to ensure showroom is immaculately presented.
  • Enjoy administrative tasks (phone, emails, general correspondence).

Additional Information

Working hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 am – 6.00 pm with 1 hour lunch; Saturday by appointment 10:00 am – 2:00 pm (bi-weekly rota). Four weeks paid holiday plus bank holidays. Full time position.
