Job Description
Well Operations / Decommissioning Manager, [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] are working with our E&P Operator client on a contract position, Onshore Aberdeen.
The candidate will have Platform Superintendent and well decom well engineering experience. They will also require to be comfortable with not leading their own rig teams but working closely with the Alliance and achieving success through the contractor teams.
Our Client has contracted with an Alliance for the complete Well Decommissioning and Engineering Down Clean (EDC) services of the Company owned Asset. This consists of 132 platform wells, 6 subsea, 5 topsides and 3 platform rig packages.
Alliance consists of Well Engineering company a Subsurface company a platform rig & well services and an EDC contractor.
Our client will retain its role as well operator with the Alliance providing all the required onshore & offshore personnel and services to plan and execute the contracted scope.
Well Operations Decom Manager role is to supervise the contracted Well Decommissioning scope delivery through the Alliance planning and operational rig teams.
Key oversight will include maintaining, reactivating, and crewing the platform rigs as required, delivery of a new build Compact Workover rig (CWR), ensuring the well decom scope delivered is adequately engineered, planned, reviewed, and supervised.
Key will be working through the Alliance to ensure our Client’s Well Decommissioning goals are safely and efficiently delivered to the agreed standard and ARO cost estimates, learning & performance improvement is imbedded within the teams, and project controls are in place to enable successful long term financial & planning control.
Applicants will have experience working in the UK North Sea directly for Oil & Gas Operators.
Must have the Right to Work in the UK unassisted, as no sponsorship is provided.
