Job Description

This role falls under the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS). Are you a hands-on technical professional with a background in underground (UG) fibre networks? We are looking for hard-working, safety-conscious individuals to help us build and maintain the next generation of Core Telecommunications Access Networks. If you have experience with XGSPON technology and enjoy working in a dynamic team environment, we want to hear from you. In this position, you will be at the heart of our network expansion. You’ll be responsible for the physical installation and maintenance of fibre cables, ensuring high-quality connectivity for our clients and the public.

  • Installation & Maintenance: Heavy cable pulling, subducting, and blowing fibre.
  • Technical Execution: Working within cabinets and performing jointing at both internal and external locations.
  • Project Management: Recording site-specific risk assessments and daily whereabouts via client systems.
  • Quality Control: Adhering to "Right First Time" quality standards and identifying/staging small blockages.
  • Public Interface: Serving as a professional face of the company, communicating effectively with service providers and end-users.

Requirements

  • Technical Expertise: Sound practical knowledge of XGSPON UG cabling.
  • Safety First: A rigorous focus on Health & Safety and the ability to maintain equipment to safety standards.
  • Teamwork: Comfortable working in teams of up to 5 people.
  • Digital Literacy: Basic IT skills and the ability to use mobile apps for workflow submission and task closure.
  • Credentials: A Full UK Driving License is essential.
  • Preferred Certifications: NRSWA SLG Level 2 and PIA Accreditation are highly desirable.
