About this Role
As a Canteen Operative in our Manufacturing site at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group, you’ll be helping to provide our hard working colleagues with good hearty meals to look forward to whilst they’re at work. You’ll complete a wide range of tasks related to the preparation and cooking of hot and cold food for our colleagues, whilst complying with food hygiene regulation and site safety procedures. Helping to serve between 200 to 1,500 colleagues a day, you’ll also undertake all aspects of cleaning and hygiene in the kitchen, serving and canteen areas. A real focus will be on excellent customer service, in a safe, efficient and hygienic environment.
About You
You don’t need to have any catering experience – we’ll provide all of the training and support that you need! You’ll be the kind of person who:
- Has excellent customer service skills, ideally with experience of working on a till or handling cash
- Is flexible, adaptive and willing to learn new skills
- Will enjoy working in a busy kitchen environment and enjoys working as part of a team
- Takes pride in delivering great customer service with a smile
