As a Staff Software Engineer in the CI Platform team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing the tools and systems that support our Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines, build systems, and platform infrastructure. You will work to ensure that our engineers can deliver software quickly, reliably, and securely, directly contributing to improvements in build times, test automation, and the robustness of our development workflows. You will apply your solid technical expertise in software development and CI/CD architecture to build scalable, high-performance solutions, actively collaborating with the team to solve complex challenges and drive engineering excellence.
Your Daily Menu
- Development and Optimization of the CI Platform: Design, implement, and maintain critical components of CI pipelines, build systems, and SCM tools (GitLab), ensuring their performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Continuous Improvement of Developer Experience: Identify and implement solutions to reduce build times, improve test automation (unit, regression, load), and optimize code review workflows.
- Complex Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve complex technical incidents and problems related to CI/CD and platform infrastructure, applying your expertise to unblock the team.
- Technical Collaboration: Work closely with DevEx, SRE, and other engineering teams to integrate solutions, share knowledge, and solve cross-functional technical challenges.
- Engineering Excellence: Actively contribute to design reviews, ensure application of good coding and architecture practices, and promote the technical quality of the team's deliveries.
- Technical Mentorship: Share knowledge and experience with more junior engineers, contributing to the technical growth of the team.
Ingredients We Look For
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer (Senior level), with focus on CI/CD systems, build pipelines, and source code management (SCM).
- Proficiency in software development, with practical experience in building and maintaining platform or infrastructure tools.
- Deep knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery concepts.
- Ability to diagnose and solve complex problems in distributed environments.
- Ability to influence and collaborate technically with other engineering teams.
- Proactive mindset in identifying improvement opportunities and delivering high-impact solutions.
To Enhance the Flavor
- Experience with languages such as Java/Kotlin or Go (Golang).
- Practical knowledge of GitLab CI, Bazel, Gradle, or other build systems and automation tools.
- Familiarity with DORA metrics and developer productivity concepts.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
