FULL DESCRIPTION

QA Test Engineer

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group is seeking an experienced QA Test Engineer to ensure all new or updated systems are rigorously tested, functional, stable, and ready for release. The role involves developing and executing test scripts, managing defects, validating business scenarios, and supporting smooth service transitions. The tester will collaborate with agile teams, perform automation and regression testing on internally developed tools using Selenium, D365, and Azure Logic Apps, and integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing test scripts for new and updated systems
  • Identifying and managing defects throughout the testing lifecycle
  • Validating business scenarios and supporting smooth service transitions
  • Ensuring non-functional requirements such as security and performance are met
  • Carrying out automation and regression testing on internally developed tools in conjunction with the Application Development team
  • Collaborating with various teams as part of the agile delivery process
  • Integrating security best practices into the software development lifecycle

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar QA Tester/Test automation role
  • Creating, updating and execution of test cases and scripts
  • Strong understanding of automated testing tools such as Selenium
  • Significant experience of QA testing within D365 and Azure Logic Apps
  • Knowledge of programming languages, SQL, KQL and scripting
  • Strong experience of performance and security testing, functional, usability, regression, UI and testing
  • Writing support documentation
  • Substantial experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
  • Proven ability of senior stakeholder liaison and relationship building in a collaborative working environment

Additional Details

  • Location: Home based with infrequent travel to Solihull/Worcester office as required
  • Salary: £42,160 - £46,844 per annum depending on experience
  • Contract Type: Permanent
