About the Role

Our Neighbourhood Officers are at the heart of what we do as an organisation. We have a great opportunity for a Neighbourhood Officer to join our Localities team providing a comprehensive housing management service, working with communities and neighbourhoods around Herefordshire. A large part of your role will be based in Bromyard, however you will also be required to visit customers based in your patch across Herefordshire and parts of Worcestershire.

You will be someone who takes a hands-on approach, helping customers to manage their tenancies and improve our neighbourhoods for everyone. Most of the time you will be out and about in your patch, working closely with customers to promote sustainable tenancies and developing strong relationships with local communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visiting customers, providing advice, reviewing tenancies and identifying problems
  • Regularly inspecting estates, raising, reporting and monitoring health and safety or safeguarding concerns
  • Developing strong relationships within local communities, working collaboratively with agencies and [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] colleagues
  • Managing and investigating tenancy issues such as anti-social behaviour, condition of property, fly tipping or safeguarding concerns
  • Undertaking new tenancy sign-ups and accompanied viewings for new homes

Requirements

  • Experience in the social housing sector, particularly tenancy management, ASB and safeguarding
  • Experience working closely with customers to tackle complex issues
  • Proactive, organised, able to prioritise time to meet timeframes
  • Excellent communication skills and customer focused approach
  • Driving licence and use of own vehicle (or alternative transport) essential due to regular travel
  • Ideally based in Herefordshire, Malvern or South Worcester
  • Basic DBS check required
