Job Description

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] has a permanent position for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our Grounds Maintenance Team based in Matlock providing high quality grounds maintenance and associated estates services there and the surrounding area.

You'll be responsible for maintaining landscaped and communal green areas to a high standard in and around our estates. Your duties will include tractor and pedestrian grass maintenance, brush cutting/strimming, hedge cutting, shrub pruning, planting, weeding and weed control, and litter picking.

• Basic salary of £28,512 per annum (£13.66 per hour)

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence – essential (mobile role)
• Live within a reasonable commutable distance of Matlock depot
• Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Good Health & Safety knowledge
• Relevant and demonstrable grounds maintenance experience, including use of plant and machinery
• Gardening/horticultural skills or qualifications (PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates advantageous)

Working Pattern

Annualised contract: Summer (March–November) 42.5 hours/week Monday–Friday; Winter (December–February) 32.5 hours/week Monday–Thursday.
