The Role
Hours of Work: Full time. Start Date: September 2026. We are seeking an outstanding EYFS / KS1 teacher to join our thriving Junior School. [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is part of a successful 2 to 18 through school and includes our Nursery for children aged 2 to 5 alongside Years 1 to 6. Job Description
- Teaching Responsibilities: Planning and preparing lessons, teaching according to educational needs, marking pupil progress, promoting general progress and well-being, taking responsibility for academic or pastoral curriculum, liaising with colleagues.
- Pastoral Responsibilities: Maintaining good order and discipline, safeguarding health and safety, encouraging well-being, providing guidance and advice, making records and reports.
- Assessments and Reports: Providing oral and written assessments, reports, and references; assessing and recording pupil development and attainment.
- Appraisal: Participating in teacher appraisal arrangements.
- Review: Reviewing teaching methods and programmes, participating in professional development.
- Staff Meetings: Participating in curriculum and administrative meetings.
- Administration: Performing organisational tasks, registering attendance, supervising pupils before, during, or after school sessions.
- Duties: Undertaking duties as assigned by the School.
- Other responsibilities: Accompanying trips, contributing to extracurricular life, attending functions, participating in assemblies, upholding ethos, covering for absent colleagues, undertaking tasks as requested by Head of Junior School.

- Qualified teacher (Essential)
- Able to apply strong behaviour management skills (Essential)
- Able to manage the work of a classroom assistant (Desirable)
- Committed to differentiating to get the best out of each child (Essential)
- Knowledge of EYFS (Essential)
- Passionate about teaching and learning (Essential)
